THE SPECTUS WINDOW FORMER

Current 1995 Building regulations approved Document L (England & Wales) stipulates the need for cavity closers around window openings to achieve relevant 'U' values of 0.7 and to prevent condensation & mould growth due to cold bridging, something that can result when using 'traditional' methods of closing cavities.

The former can be used with either a spring fixing clip, traditional fixing lugs or a continuous PVC fixing strip. It is of weldable construction and an insulated core is available if required.

The benefits of the Spectus window former extend very much to making the life of the specifier, builder and installer easier and more efficient.

Spectus have introduced the 'Spectus Former' system which is an
integrated Acceptor, Former, Closer and D.P.C.

The SPECTUS FORMER . . a FITTING SOLUTION:

It is available in 50mm, 65mm and 75mm cavity options and allows the window to be fitted from either the inside or the outside. There is an optional head vent which also acts as a stabiliser during installation.

Because the former seals the perimeter of the window at the same time of installation, it can substantially reduce the time between first and second fix.
